Support Australian creativity: once Australia was known for design and the ingenuity of her people, particularly in times of adversity, think Stump Jump Plough; Southern Cross Windmills, and bush mechanics. Blue Yonder has been created in this spirit.

Outside the city: all of the artists and creative people featured on this site are from outside the cities of Australia. There are many reasons for this:

• Much of the work reflects a respect for the natural world, its inhabitants and the peril nature is facing from the greedy;
• Rural communities need creative people;
• Opportunities for artists and artisans to show their work are limited; and
• To create collaboration between often isolated artists to produce some inspired, sensational work (think Arts & Crafts Movement).

Demystify Art: In all great civilizations past and present, the celebration of art and artisanship is part of daily life – not just for the wealthy or confined to the rarefied Art World – for everybody.
